

Originally called simply Paint Shop, the first version, 1.0, was a basic picture converter between BMP, GIF and PCX formats, conceived by Robert Voit and developed by Joel DeRider.

To paste a vector object, choose Edit Paste As New Vector Selection.Paint Shop Pro 1.0 (pictured here running on Windows XP), was released in 1992 for Windows 3.1. You can also resize the two images to make them a similar size before copying and pasting. After you paste the selection, you can use the Pick tool to scale the pasted content. If one image is much larger or smaller than the other, the pasted content may look out of proportion.
